Social Media Assistant (Part-Time, Opportunity for Full-Time)

We love making content, and we want to do more of it. This role puts you at the center of how Mixed by Nasrin shows up online. You'll shoot the videos, build the posts, and keep the social calendar running on schedule.

About us

Mixed by Nasrin is a Brooklyn-based women's apparel brand, designed by founder Nasrin Jafari and sold direct to customers online. We're a small team that's growing fast, and content is a big reason why.

About the role

This is a part-time role, 3 days a week to start. It's hands-on: most of your time goes to capturing content, including UGC-style video, behind-the-scenes, and founder content with Nasrin. We are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow with the brand. If you're great at it, there's room to go full-time and take on tasks in shoot production, creator gifting, and events.

What you'll do

● Shoot short-form video every week, including behind-the-scenes at the studio and on-site for lifestyle & ecommerce photoshoots, and founder videos with Nasrin

● Assist the paid marketing team with shooting UGC content

● Create and schedule social posts across our channels

● Engage with our community: reply to comments, reshare customers who tag us, and connect with creators

● Measure what's working (views, saves, follows) and send organic winners to the paid team as ad candidates

● Track trends, formats, audio, and what competitors and creators are doing, and flag what fits the brand

● Bring ideas to creative planning: concepts, hooks, and shot lists

● Work with our video editor on briefs, raw footage handoff, and revisions

● Manage the brand's social posting calendar and keep it current and on time

What we're looking for

Required:

● Short-form vertical video you shot yourself (TikTok, Reels, or similar)

● Experience shooting on a phone, including framing, lighting, and audio

● Comfortable directing people on camera, including the founder and team members

● Available 3 set days per week in person (Brooklyn Navy Yard)

● Comfortable appearing in content

Nice to have:

● Experience with a fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brand

● Basic editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)

● Experience with scheduling tools

● Interest in growing in social media and fashion marketing

What's hard about this job

We're a small team moving quickly. Priorities shift around launches, and you'll often be both the idea person and the person holding the camera. If you like building things rather than waiting for direction, you'll do well here.

Compensation

$25-30 an hour
